MEET OUR ICL CHAMPIONS

VALENTIN CHMERKOVSKIY

Valentin Chmerkovskiy is a professional dancer, author and television personality. A 14-time US National Champion and two-time World Dance Champion, Val rose to stardom as a fan-favorite professional and eventual two-time winner of the hit series Dancing with the Stars. He has since appeared on numerous television shows, including Netflix’s Fuller House and Fox’s Flirty Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance, as well as served as a judge on the inaugural season of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors. Val, with his brother Maks, co-wrote  and co-directed their very own 55-city North American tour “Our way” in 2016. In 2018 they once again hit the road with their follow-up tour “Confidential” which sold out theaters across the US culminating in a monumental sold out show at Radio City Music Hall. 

Val is the co-founder and owner of Dance With Me studios, a leading nationwide network of dance studios with the mission of making dance accessible to all people regardless of skill level. 

In 2018, Val released his first memoir titled “I’ll Never Change my Name,” which detailed his life, career and experience as an Eastern European immigrantAs a classically trained violinist, Val has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

JENNA JOHNSON

Jenna Johnson is a 5-time U.S. National Latin Champion, U.S. National Youth 10 Dance Champion as well as a 3-time Best Dancer Winner at various Break The Floor Nationals. In 2012 she represented the United States of America at the World Latin Championships held in Beijing, China. At the age of 18 she appeared as a finalist on Season 10 of “So You Think You Can Dance” where she placed in the Top 4 girls. After the season, she was made Dance Captain of the 44 city SYTYCD tour. Once she returned from tour she was made an All-Star and Mentor! Jenna then appeared on ABC’s hit reality television show Dancing With the Stars from seasons 18-30. Winning her first mirrorball Season 26 with Adam Rippon. During Season 30 she made history with her partner, JoJo Siwa, becoming the first ever same sex pairing on the show! Through DWTS she has appeared on the Oscar stage for Live with Kelly and Michael, the Ellen Show, Late Night with James Cordon, Good Morning America, and performed numerous times at the iconic Radio City Music Hall. She has been on 6 DWTS Live Tours and was made Dance Captain for 5 of them. Jenna and her husband, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, are faculty members on 24 Seven Dance Convention! 
 

JAMES VAN DER BEEK

James Van Der Beek is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Dawson Leery in the WB series Dawson’s Creek and Johnny “Mox” Moxson in Varsity Blues (1999). He played a fictionalized version of himself on the cult ABC sitcom Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, starred in CSI: Cyber as FBI Special Agent Elijah Mundo, and as Matt Bromley on the FX drama Pose. He also competed as a celebrity on the 28th season of Dancing with the Stars. He was paired with professional dancer Emma Slater. Despite being a fan-favorite to win, Van Der Beek was eliminated in the semi-finals, finishing in 5th place.
